No matter where you are in the world
there's a time and place to write together

From January to May you can find places and times to join Write Your Way In Workshops.
Of course, online workshops continue. They continue because they have been a true gift. Zoom workshops will be a staple long into the future.
But we're also back in person at St. Paul's Centre in Orillia, ON for full-day workshops, and in May, at The Church of Truth in Victoria, BC.

My Big News
In 2014, I completed writing my novel, What the Living Do, a feat owed in great measure to Writers' Sanctuaries and the mentorship of Susan Lynn Reynolds. You can read about her rich offerings here.
I whipped out dozens of queries and soon had a US agent. After a year, that agent was unable to sell it. Out it went again. And again.
Until, one day...
Regal House Publishing acquired it! My debut novel will be released in the spring of 2024.
You can check me out as a "Regal House Author" right here.
I just have to peel myself off the ceiling and get to work telling everyone and their second cousin twice removed.
"My Writers"

I sometimes have to catch myself when referring to the remarkable writers who show up to my workshops, to not call them, "my writers." The thing is, I'm so damn proud and grateful to be able to listen to their freshly generated work and jump at least as high as they might when there's a success or a newsy thing that happens to them in the literary world.
Here are a few I encourage you to check out.

Barbara Krasner has an offer on the table for a YA novel in verse about the two Newark teens -- one Jewish and one German-American -- whose friendship unravels when a Nazi youth camp in rural New Jersey opens in July 1938.
Barbara is offering a four-week series on writing family history. Find the details here:

Fiona Raye Clarke curated the Digital Companion for New Monuments, a dance film aired on CBC Gem, with Luminato and Canadian Stage that explored Canada's history of colonialism.
