Interview: AEGIR in support of cutting greenhouse emissions in the maritime sector

As international shipping accounts for significant greenhouse emissions, the AEGIR project is focusing on wide-scale implementation of low and zero emission solutions within the maritime transport sector. AEGIR is funded by Nordic Energy Research through the Nordic Maritime Transport and Energy Research Programme.

“International shipping takes the significant share of around 90% of international transport, thereby emitting more than 2% of the global greenhouse gas emissions,” says Dr. Anke Hagen, Professor at DTU Energy and Project Coordinator of AEGIR.

COP26: A successful energy day in Glasgow

Lunch Seminar: Gender equality in the Nordic energy sector

On Thursday December 2nd, the report Gender equality in the Nordic energy sector will be presented at a lunch seminar in collaboration with the non-profit association Winnet Sverige.
The report was published by Nordic Energy Equality Network (NEEN) earlier this autumn, mapping the female under-representation in the energy sector across the Nordic countries.
At the lunch seminar, Sofia Elamson, Adviser at Nordic Energy Research and Secretary of NEEN, will be presenting the report. NEEN is funded by Nordic Energy Research.

Reception: Icelandic Green Energy Solution and Nordic Co-operation

On Monday November 22nd, the Ambassador of Iceland Ingibjörg Davíðsdóttir, in cooperation with Green by Iceland, Business Iceland, Nordic Energy Research and Norwegian-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce, is inviting to a reception.
At the reception, Fanney Frisbæk, COO of Nordic Energy Research, is giving a presentation of Nordic Energy Research's ongoing work.
