Throughout the pandemic, children and youth have persevered in the face of unprecedented challenges. You're invited!
Join us on November 16 at 1 p.m. ET for a special National Child Day 2021 digital event. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Canada's ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It's a time to recognize the rights of all kids, while also acknowledging the unique rights of First Nations, Métis and Inuit children. The theme of our event is #8MillionStrong in honour of the power and resilience of all 8 million kids in Canada.

Megane Jacques
YAC member to receive pandemic award
Mégane Jacques, Chair of CFC's Youth Advisory Council (YAC), has been named a recipient of the Pandemic Heroes Inspiring Youth Award! The Pandemic Heroes awards program recognizes and celebrates individuals and organizations that took supporting mental health one step further during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, Mégane boldly advocated for the needs of young people through the #codePINK campaign, which urged the government to take immediate action to address the crisis facing kids. She also facilitated conversations about children's mental health through the Young Canadians' Parliament. The award will be presented at a celebration gala in December. Please join us in congratulating Mégane!
