Fall 2021 Newsletter

Leaves are falling and so is the temperature! Halloween is nearly over and the turkeys are getting nervous. So check out the library for some scary reads, family fall recipes and ideas for decorating your home this festive season.

Activities at the Library are gearing up, the Chess Club is playing, Children's Storytime is in full swing, Mahjong players are meeting and our new weekly Genealogy Workshop will give you some hints and tips to spend the dark evenings researching your family tree. Read on, there's sure to be something you'll like.

Research your family tree

Come and meet with expert genealogist, Eric Migdal at our weekly workshop.

Thursdays at 12:30pm, upstairs at the Library

We'll help you start to research your family tree, explain some of the terms, and show you where to find more help. Work with Eric and others to learn about DNA testing, creating a tree, verifying data.and meeting your relatives.

2021 Holly House Tour

This year, instead of an open-house, in-person tour, we're encouraging Pompton Lakes residents to send us photographs of their own decorations for our dedicated Holly-House website. Take a picture of your decorated fireplace, hallway or front door and we'll share it for all to see.

Join our players for a fun, casual afternoon, learn the rules and enjoy the game.

Digital Resources Available from Home

Although the library is open for browsing and borrowing, don't forget the following resources can be accessed online for free as part of your Pompton Lakes library membership. Some of these resources will prompt you to register yourself, others may require you to input your library card identification number. Magazines can now be found on the Libby app.
