Oct 31st-Nov 12th Practices for COP26
Daily practices offered through the Plum Village community to support the COP26 UN Climate Conference.
"I take refuge in Mother Earth.
Every breath, every step
manifests our love.
Every breath brings happiness.
Every step brings happiness.
I see the whole cosmos in the earth." — Thích Nhất Hạnh
Dear Friends,
Welcome to Day 2 of daily of practices for COP26. On Nov 1st, we will be practicing with silent sitting and a guided meditation from Sr. True Dedication to bring us closer to the earth. We are also invited to watch "Where Spirit and Action Meet", an inspiring discussion about the inter-being of spirituality and action in the struggle for racial justice.
We encourage you to visit earthholder.org, where we will house these practices. You may return to these practices even as we go forth from COP26.

Where Spirit and Action Meet
Continuing the Legacy of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and Dr. Martin Luther King, this discussion is about the inter-being of spirituality and action in the struggle for racial justice.
Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh’s message of peace was instrumental in Dr. King's decision to speak out against the Vietnam War and to nominate Thich Nhat Hanh for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967. When Dr. King was assassinated, Thich Nhat Hanh vowed to redouble his efforts to build the Beloved Community they had discussed together and to continue teaching the importance of "being peace" in the non-violent struggle for peace and justice.
