CAT BEACH NEWS - NOVEMBER 2021

November already? Oh how happy the cats are that visitors are starting to come back to Cat Beach! It gives us such hope for the future!

But the harsh reality is that Cat Beach Sanctuary urgently needs your support. Never in our 7-year hiss-story has the sanctuary faced such difficulty meeting the costs of cats' care. And never has our 'hotline' had to field so many calls to help rescue or take in more cats.

Sweet GEORGE's survival is a miracle. He was found by a visitor in the fishing village of Teluk Bahang who brought him to Cat Beach. Paralyzed with no muscle tone in his back legs, he has the sweetest purr-sonality and is so grateful to be fed, cleaned, and loved.

And KIMCHI, like so many cats found on the streets, would not have survived the epidemic cat viruses without veterinary treatment and the Loving Care of the Cat Beach Team.

The Sanctuary is at our capacity for care - but if a cat is truly in trouble, how can we just turn away? We are committed to do whatever we can for every cat and every rescuer that needs help. There are many options - adoption is best!

The pandemic has put us behind on the bills. Cat Beach urgently needs to ask for your help to catch up and move forward.

Currently, Cat Beach is several weeks behind where it needs to be, with a growing debt, now about RM20,000 (USD $5,000). And every week going forward, we must find RM5000 (USD $1,200) for the cats' care. Every gift - big or small - counts!

Volunteers can make a huge difference - help clean and care for the cats, help out with reception and sales at the sanctuary and the charity shop. Help fundraise - it can be FUN!

We won't let the pandemic stop us from giving care to cats in serious trouble. We did it in the past. We can do it in the future with your help.

Please know that every single cent (sen) donated is stretched very far to help give rescued cats the best care possible.
