Message from the CEO!

We are entering into what many recognize as "the holiday season". Welcome to November, the month of giving thanks. This month's newsletter consists of just this message. Why? Because sometimes everything else needs to cease and you need to just give thanks. So, I want to take a moment just to give thanks for the blessings, lessons, and ability to continue being of service.
 
First, God, you continue to amaze me. Over and over again, you bless me beyond the desires of my heart. You have enlarged my territory, personally and professionally, and continue to do so. Each day I wake up, you have granted me another day to be a blessing. Thank you for choosing me, calling me, loving me, and blessing me like you do. It's freaking awesome!
 
Next, it may come as a surprise to some and a reminder for many others that HBS is not a solopreneur firm. It hasn't been for a while. I have been fortunate to hire and work with some dynamic people who have each helped shape me and this firm in some manner or another along the way. Currently, the accounting, the tax, the administrative, and the brand strategy team members give so much of themselves to help support our clients, support our clients, and carry out the HBS vision. They challenge and push me in ways that they may not even realize. For all they do, I cannot thank the HBS team enough. Thank you!
 
To HBS past and present clients, potential clients, supporters, naysayers, and haters (lol), THANK YOU!  You have entrusted me and this firm with your business, your livelihoods, your dreams, your fears, and being a part of your growth and development. You are one of the reasons HBS is still growing and going. I started this business to help serve and be a catalyst of knowledge for individuals and business owners to be better stewards over what they have. I will continue to be honest with you, hold you accountable, challenge you, educate you, support you, and celebrate the wins with you!
 
And last but not least thank you to my beautiful family. To my children, you inspire me, tire me, challenge me, encourage me, and remind me to keep going when I want to give up. You are too young now to truly realize and understand why mommy works so diligently and hard. Just know I am clearing paths, laying foundations, and building up resources and wealth for you to continue building reaching beyond numbers throughout your life. You are my loving legacy. 
 
My husband, Shawn, there aren't enough words to say thank you. You believed at times when I lost belief. You push me because of your belief in me. Both of us being in full-time entrepreneurship, being parents of little ones, etc, doesn't render much time for us and comes with many sacrifices, but we always make it all work. Thank you for taking this ride with me. I love you so very much!
 
Now,  I encourage you all to take time this month and afterward to give thanks. Give people their flowers now. Write it down or shout it loud, just give thanks!
