FIRST iCARE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM - SAVE THE DATE!
Following the Doodle that was circulated, the iCARE International Symposium will take place on December 2nd, 2021 from 8:00AM-7:00PM (EST)
iCARE COLLABORATOR WORKSPACE: SLACK
During the collaborator meeting, we introduced a new initiative: the iCARE Slack Workspace. You can join this workspace using the following link:
https://join.slack.com/t/icare-study/shared_invite/zt-wmyi0huu-pU8YQivAPVQZRnyJIk~4Sw

This initiative offers a new (optional) communication platform for iCARE collaborators to coordinate ongoing and upcoming projects within iCARE, and to interact with the iCARE team more broadly. The platform can also be used to share documents, work group updates, and details on upcoming events (e.g., conferences).

In case you are not familiar with Slack, there are tutorials available here. We are also here in case you have any questions on using the platform, or if you run into any issues.
INVESTIGATOR IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Hilary Creed-Kanashiro (BSc, M.Phil) is a nutritionist, senior researcher and member of the research ethics committee at the Instituto de Investigación Nutricional (Lima, Peru). Her research interests are in the area of public health nutrition and involve: evaluation of dietary intakes; formative research and the implementation of dietary education and communication interventions, especially related to the improvement of infant feeding, including breastfeeding, complementary feeding and responsive feeding; dietary diversity and biodiversity; agriculture and nutrition; traditional foods and food security. Her interests in the iCARE project are related to dietary aspects during the pandemic, specifically in Peru. She actively circulates the survey through her institution's social media which is also enhanced by colleagues and their networks.
ANALYSIS REQUESTS
The Data Management committee has developed the iCARE Analysis Request Form in order to provide analytical support to interested collaborators. You can find an example of how to correctly fill out this form on our OSF.
We have created data dictionaries for all convenience and Canadian representative samples to help you navigate through these datasets.
DATA REQUESTS
A data access protocol has been created for iCARE collaborators.

Below is a short summary of the steps and approximate timelines.
*Steps 3 & 4 can be done simultaneously
iCARE REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLES
In parallel with recruiting our global convenience sample, the iCARE team has coordinated representative sampling efforts in the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Italy, Israel, France, Colombia, and the United States. We plan to continue sampling in these countries in December.

Please visit our results page as we continously update it to reflect current findings.
COLLABORATOR RESEARCH SUB-GROUPS
iCARE collaborators are actively working in research sub-groups on the following topics:
  • Going back-to-school during COVID-19
  • Pregnancy during COVID-19
  • COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy
  • Chronic disease
There are several research topics of shared interest between iCARE collaborators. This file lists current and potential subgroups organized around specific topics. If you are interested in leading a sub-group, please contact us. You can also view on-going projects by browsing our iCARE analysis plan (iSAP) log.

We encourage you to use the Slack channels associated to these workgroups to facilitate collaboration!
It is the responsibility of all collaborators to familiarize themselves
with this page as a condition of collaboration.
