With this new session, comes new investigations and wonderings. Here’s a look into our current quests.
Octopus, Tiny Panthers, and Pandas
The guiding question for the quest in primary studios is " How can we help our planet?". Learners in the foundation studio focus on water, its movement through seasons, and human impact on this valuable resource. Level 1-2 learners are discovering the origins of waste and the connection between natural resources and sustainability. Level 2-3 studio is investigating how human activity impacts the environment and what actions can we take to minimize the negative outcomes.
Red Pandas and Lionfish
Our elementary studios are investigating how we can uncover the past through the lens of an archeologist. Learners have begun their junior archeologist training in preparation for visiting an archeological site and will use their new skills and interests to learn about Mezoamerican civilizations, which includes the historical region and cultural area of southern North America and most of Central America.
Cuttlefish
Our oldest studio is wondering how asking big questions about our universe can help us understand our present and inform our future. They are also asking why we look at things close up and far away; how and why people change their minds; and how can looking at the same information from different perspectives pave the way for progress.
