Every two weeks, our drivers head out for Acworth to move a van full of animals one step closer to their new homes in the northeast. We appreciate your dedication to our cause and your love for these animals.

WHY I FOSTER

As cliche as it sounds, I foster because it saves lives. Bringing an animal back to life from the brink of death, taking those that are fearful and teaching them how to simply “be a dog,” is so rewarding. I enjoy watching them come out of their shell and blossom into loving, loyal companions. People often ask me, “ how do you do it? How do you not get so attached and want to keep them all?” Well, I have two “foster fails” so it isn’t easy; but knowing they are with a reputable rescue group who will make sure they go to the BEST homes possible-- and getting “pupdates” -- keeps my mind at ease. I have had many long, sleepless nights and times I cried not knowing if they would make it. Watching them grow healthy and strong and being able to see what they look like months and years later, makes all of those sleepless nights worth it. I encourage those who are on the fence about fostering to go ahead and give it a try!
