Did you know that I'm an Alliance Teacher for Veterans Yoga Project?  I've been a teacher with them since 2015.

That's why I support them every year for a variety of benefit classes. Dr Daniel Libby, also an Alamedan, created this non-profit to support vets and their families with mindful resilience practices. 

Will you join me this Saturday to support them too?

I don't ever teach on weekends, so this is your chance if you can't ever come on the weekdays. And the weather is looking to shape up for Saturday morning, albeit a bit overcast. Let's commune together to support each other and our veterans/active duty members/families.

Gentle Yoga on the Beach 
Benefiting 'Veterans Yoga Project Gratitude Week'


 
When: 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, Saturday November 6th

What: 60 minutes of Gentle Yoga, 10 minutes of Savasana/Closing Gratitude to complete the Practice. Followed by Coffee & Tea for Connection & to learn about Veterans Yoga Project (VYP). 

Where: Crown Beach @ the intersection of Shell Gate Rd & Shoreline, Map HERE,  Free Parking on Shoreline and surrounding neighborhood

Cost: Suggested $15 to $25 includes the practice + coffee/tea. ANY Amount welcome. 100% of donations will go to the Veterans Yoga Project. No one turned away if you are unable to donate. Raffle for VYP Swag (t-shirts, tanks) for those donating $20+

What to bring:
    * towel or yoga mat: Personally I prefer a towel. If you bring a mat, prepare to anchor it with shoes or sand as they like to float in the breeze
    * foldable chair if you’d rather not sit or lie down on the sand
    * sun protection and/or hat if you don’t want the sun on your face
    * hydration as needed
    * dress in layers for changes in weather–remember that no matter where you are coming from, it’s always a little cooler by the water
    * mask as desired, I will not be wearing one unless requested

Who: Taught by Tianna Meriage-Reiter, physical therapist & yoga therapist, and a Veterans Yoga Project Alliance Teacher

Precautions: Please don’t come if you have been sick in the last 10 days or have any symptoms of early or late cold/flu, or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 10 days. Thank you!
