Time to party!

All is set for our annual firework party this Saturday - including the weather!

Don't delay buying your tickets in advance - COVID precautions mean we have to limit numbers and tickets are selling fast.  Get yours from the clubhouse/bar on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening from 6.30pm.

Marco Azevedo on the customary charge in last Saturday's match against Guildford - his 50th 1st team start of the club.  Well played, Marco.

20-20 Vision

The 1st XV drew Saturday's game 20-20 with the equalizing try from Dec Kavanagh and conversion by Toby Salmon in the dying seconds of the match.  It was a thrilling game, albeit scrappy at times with the boys perhaps guilty of not taking their chances.  While the result may disappoint, the whoops and hollers from the balcony as the boys trooped off demonstrated just how deep runs the pride in this team among its faithful supporters.

The team has another opportunity for points this Saturday with an inaugural first team league visit to Chichester - Kick Off 2.30pm.  A pleasant drive over the South Downs awaits the faithful who will make the trip.  See you there!

Meanwhile the Vikings secured a satisfying 22-31 win over Esher Abbots (3rd XV). The Warrior's game was binned by Old Whitgiftians who were unable to raise a team.  The Barbarians defeated by 43 to 10 a Chichester team considerably bolstered by Farnham lads looking for a game.

There are no home games this Saturday ahead of the fireworks.

On Sunday, the Falcons 2nd XV made the trip to Portsmouth. Our team came second 15-33 but the women new to rugby this season who made their debut in a representative game for the club were definitely the winners.
