Principal's Update,

I wanted to give you an update on how our "Design a Park" design challenge is going.  Students have done interviews inquiring others on experiences, abilities, interests, and of course, what they believe is missing or could be added to a park design.  Classes are deciding on who the users will be and focusing on themes such as; pet friendly, nature watching, musical, or a fun and games park.  They really have come up with some unique options!  Now the work will begin.  Ideate as a group, build the prototypes, tests and go back to the drawing board to adapt and complete.  The classes are designing for Erie where all residents and visitors feel included and welcome.  We will be presenting our projects with members of the Erie planning team in hopes they will consider some of our ideas for future projects. No School 11/22 - 11/26 Happy Thanksgiving

Late start December 1st school begins @11:30

DECEMBER 1st - Beginning of preschool, kindergarten and open enrollment registration for the 22-23 school year.  If you have an incoming student or know of someone  who needs this information, please pass this along to them.  Families will need to go to the SVVSD enrollment link to register their students for 22-23 school year.  It will be available on DECEMBER 1st.  More details will be added at a later date.

Reminders:  Our playground is not available from 4:00-6:00 due to our after school program use.  Please make sure your children have adult supervision if playing on the equipment during off hours.  Our main slide is off limits due to a safety issue.  It will be fixed during Thanksgiving break but until then, please make sure your children are not playing on it.  We've included a picture so you know which slide is not safe.  There is a gate at the top to prevent children from sliding down.  






 

PTO Week of Nov 1st:

Dine to Donate: Nov 16 stop by Panda Express off of Hwy 7 (16816 Sheridan Pkwy, Broomfield, CO 80023) between 10:30 am and 8:30 pm and they will donate 20% of their sales back to Highlands. Dinner… done!
