On 20 October 2021, the West Australian Government announced a mandate requiring all people who work in the health and community sector to have the COVID-19 vaccination, unless medically exempt. The mandate comes into effect from 1 December 2021 and applies to all health and community services funded by the State and Commonwealth Governments.
As a health and community provider who is committed to supporting the safety and wellbeing of our customers, colleagues, and communities, Avivo has requested all people employed and engaged by Avivo have the first vaccination by 1 December 2021 and the second by 31 December. This includes some contract workers engaged directly by customers.
Many of our colleagues and contractors are already vaccinated, but some are yet to make this decision. While we support our colleagues and contractors with information and access regarding mandatory vaccination, our priority is in ensuring you receive appropriate support.
