After School Program Update:
 

Dear Community School Families,

Reminder, as our days grow shorter and our weather gets colder, we will be going inside more often for the After School Program. When you arrive to pick up your student(s) please call Erin at 540-400-1922 to let her know you have arrived. Our staff will start getting your child ready for departure. When you arrive, please come to the Activity Room to pick up your child. If you have questions, please contact Patrick at patrickc@communityschool.net.

After School Update for Monday, November 22nd

Due to the Art Show, we will need to move our indoor location for After School on Monday, November 22nd.  The students will gather in the Drama room on the second floor of the Boxwoods building (that’s the one on right as you walk on campus).  Based on the the size of the rooms, we will need to restrict the number of spaces available for that day. If you plan to utilize After School that day, please sign up early.
Toys For Tots Toy Drive at CS
Last fall, we were proud to help with the Toys for Tots initiative as they collected and distributed nearly 20,000 toys to children in the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Franklin, Botetourt, Craig, Salem, Roanoke and Roanoke City. We are happy to announce that we will be participating campus-wide once again in 2021!

"The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children within the community in which the campaign is conducted.  We will be doing so with the assistance of local community support organizations, local donor organizations, local volunteers, and good old-fashioned Marine Corps ingenuity.  Most of all, we will be looking forward to the kind spirit of the people in our local communities."
