BABEL, the second release from Calidore String Quartet on the Signum label, was conceived of in response to this unsettling time of polarization and lack of civility in public discourse.
Included are Pulitzer Prize-winning American composer Caroline Shaw’s collection of “Three Essays,” Dimitri Shostakovich’s Ninth String Quartet and Robert Schumann’s Third String Quartet.

Manifesto, is the Signum label debut from Minneapolis based vocal ensemble Cantus. The album of world premiere recordings takes its name from a piece by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang set to text from Google’s auto-complete list of the query “I want to be with someone who…” Also included are works by Roger Treece, Timothy C. Takach, Ysaÿe M. Barnwell, Libby Larsen, Joseph Gregorio, Sydney Guillaume, Sarah Kirkland Snider, Paul John Rudoi, and Dale Warland.

Seraphic Fire delivers the first complete, historically accurate recording of Hildegard von Bingen’s 12th century masterpiece Ordo virtutum, out on the vocal ensemble’s eponymous label.
Artistic Director Patrick Dupre Quigley worked in conjunction with scholar Dr. Honey Meconi – author of the 2018 biography Hildegard of Bingen – to bring this “play of virtues” to life.
