Dear Magnolia Families,
My name is Adam Ganucheau, and I am the Director of Development here at Magnolia Community Services. I have been a part of the Magnolia Family since May, and it has been an exciting few months to say the least! I have enjoyed getting to know your loved ones.
As you may know, the annual Magnolia Moonlight Gala is the singe largest fundraiser for Magnolia Community Services, and funds raised through the gala directly benefit our clients. Due to COVID-19 and Hurricane Ida, we are unable to host an in-person gala this year.
I'm happy to share that the Magnolia Moonlight Gala, presented by the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust, will stream Thursday November 4 at 7:00 p.m. on our Facebook, YouTube, and Gala website. I hope you're able to tune into the show!
We'll share updates and interviews from Magnolia, and this year we're excited to feature three Talent Show Acts as a part of our program. The residents were so excited to perform under the bright lights and in front of the camera. On our gala site, you can vote for your favorite act, with one vote equaling one dollar. Our prizes will be premium items that will enrich and benefit the whole home, such as rocking chairs, Nintendo Switch system or games, and stationary exercise equipment.
We have a fabulous silent auction with wonderful items donated from the community. The silent auction is open now! You can find restaurant gift certificates, experiences, art, décor, and more. Check out the special "Made by Magnolia" category for items especially made by our clients and staff, with each group home contributing an item to our auction. Please bid generously!
