Tudor Dixon  Congratulates Glenn Youngkin on Historic Virginia Victory

Dixon: “Virginia 2021, Michigan 2022”

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Michigan Republican gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon congratulates Virginia Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin after his come-from-behind win.

Dixon offers the following response to the Republican’s win:

Glenn Youngkin forged a coalition of parents who feel they’re not being listened to by schools and political elites, and voters who wanted to make a statement about the socialist Democrats in Washington, D.C.

The race began to turn when Gretchen Whitmer ally Terry McAuliffe’s mask slipped and he acknowledged the common elitist belief that parents should not have a say in what schools teach. Despite this statement, Gretchen Whitmer still planned to ditch Benton Harbor to campaign for McAuliffe, only to change her plans when the heat got too intense.

A column earlier today said 2021 is the Year of the Parent after scenes from across the country of parents standing up and taking the education of their children back from the likes of Whitmer and McAuliffe.

I believe Youngkin’s compelling win serves as foreshadowing of what’s to come in 2022 when common sense conservatism, parental empowerment, and citizen leaders are championed to dethrone the elites like Gretchen Whitmer who believe they know how to run our lives better than we do. However, it takes bold leadership and real solutions, which I have made a centerpiece of my campaign. I encourage you to read my plan to reform education, secure our elections, and rebuild our infrastructure.

Virginia 2021, Michigan 2022. It can’t come a moment too soon.
