2021 Jonesie Waste Awards hosted in the Beehive tomorrow

Tomorrow the New Zealand Taxpayers’ Union is hosting the 2021 Jonesie Waste Awards – an Oscars-style ceremony celebrating the worst examples of wasteful spending in the local and central government sectors from the last 12 months, as nominated by Taxpayers’ Union members.
 
Time: 11am-11:30am tomorrow (4 November)
Location: Beehive Banquet Hall
 
The event is open to all press gallery journalists.
 
The Jonesies are this year hosted by Taxpayers’ Union Campaigns Manager Louis Houlbrooke and Researcher Annabel Fleming, along with the Union’s mascot, Porky the Waste-hater.
 
A copy of the event programme, which includes the names of the nominees, is available upon request.
