Global Entrepreneurship Week

Global Entrepreneur Week (GEW) is next week! For the first time, all four counties across the State of Hawai‘i are collaborating to bring Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) to entrepreneurs and businesses statewide. Sign-up for a series of free virtual workshops coordinated by various county partners. Some of the event topics that will be covered:
  • sustainable tourism;
  • funding resources for entrepreneurs;
  • small business cybersecurity;
  • a panel on women in tech;
  • tips on fostering innovation;
  • and the future of young entrepreneurs in Hawai‘i.

Applications for the 2022 HSBIR matching grant are now open! The deadline to submit your application is December 16, 2021.
 
The Hawaii SBIR Program (HSBIR) is administered by HTDC and provides matching grants to help Hawaii companies further the development of new products to solve critical issues. The HSBIR program provides up to 50% match (or up to $75,000) for companies receiving federal Phase 1 SBIR/STTR awards. Companies may also apply for the Phase 0 grant writer reimbursement up to $3,000 for their initial grant application.
