What is your brief history of the business(es)?
Kelly Reed Daulton opened her practice in 2009 in a home studio with one piece of equipment. She spent 6 years in a physical therapy mentorship in Atascadero before opening her own office in 2015. With over 12 years of experience and ongoing education in the ever-evolving field of neuroscience, she now serves people from all over the North County, helping them to better their overall health goals, eliminate chronic pain, and live in the balance that allows the body to regenerate.
"Why did I join the Co-op?"
Humans are a cooperative species. A food co-op fills a void where we would have shared access to the fundamentals of a locally produced, health-promoting life. I joined the Paso Food Co-op to help grow something I believe in. And of course, I love the food! Food is one of our first medicines. To heal the Earth and ourselves, it must be pure.
How has the lockdown affected your business?
Fortunately, I was able to pivot immediately to online services and continued seeing my clients from their homes. I have, however, seen a decrease in overall participation as people cope with changing work situations, schedules, new demands on their time and financial resources. I have transitioned most of my business back to in-person services, but have maintained online services as well. The flexibility is working well to meet different needs and has brought me new students from all over the country.
