Slugs 4 Self-Care
from Colleges Nine & Ten CoCurricular Programs Office
Want to learn self-care practices and develop your relationship with yourself? Join us for this weekly series on Wednesdays from 6-7pm

These workshops will be held both in-person at the Rec Lounge (located under the MPR, between the Colleges Nine and Ten Dining Hall and Terry Freitas Cafe) and via Zoom (register at bit.ly/slugs4sc).
AA/PI/SWANA Career Prep Program
from the Asian American/Pacific Islander Resource Center

Join AA/PIRC for their two-part virtual Career Prep Program supporting AA/PI and SWANA (Southwest Asian North African) identifying students.
Applying to Grad School (Tuesday 11/16 at 4-5pm) - in this workshop, a peer mentor from the Career Center will help students navigate the grad school application process.

UCSC Alumni Panel (Tuesday 11/23 at 4-5pm) - students can ask questions and get advice from a panel featuring UCSC alumni and current graduate students.

Enroll in CLNI 85: Global Action

Need a class for next quarter? Check out CLNI 85: Global Action — a 2-unit student-taught course that explores current global issues and satisfies the PR-E GE requirement.

Students will be able to choose one of the four class times that meet once a week, in addition to the mandatory large group discussion on Wednesday nights.
Be an AA/PI Faculty Initiative Assistant!
The UCSC AA/PI Faculty Initiative is on the search for a Research Assistant!

Applicants should have experience building databases and websites, an interest in learning about the AA/PI community, and the ability to communicate (both written and spoken) in an Asian language.

This Table Talk's focus will be on Self Care, and all the different ways we can include it in our daily lives.

Apply to California Freedom Summer!
California Freedom Summer will place trained UC students as Summer 2022 interns and action researchers in community-based organizations to mentor other young leaders, conduct voter education, and support grassroots campaigns.

These student leaders will also collect, analyze, and disseminate data that contributes to academic research and informs youth-led efforts.

Get Your Flu Vaccine!

The University of California issued an executive order in October, requiring flu vaccination for all students, faculty, and staff who learn, live, or work at a UC location. The deadline for obtaining and verifying compliance is Friday, November 19th.
