The number of people infected with COVID has decreased gradually, and everyday life is returning to a more normal! We had our daughter's first domestic flight experience as a "practice run" to return to Cambodia🛫
Finally, there is some good news for Cambodia. The number of infected people seems to be decreasing as well and from November 1st, it was possible once again for schools nationwide to reopen their doors!
The water festival also resumed this year after being canceled last year and people were excited to emerge from hibernation. Hopefully, we can join them in Cambodia soon.

THIS NOVEMBER, SCHOOLS RESUME! 🏫
We mentioned in the last issue that schools would reopen next year. There was some push for classes to open again in early November but unfortunately, it never went ahead for Kindergartens. All primary and secondary classes however did open paving the way for kindergartens to open in the new year.
Since there is a long vacation in December the children only had one month of school but this is an important month as they can finally socialise, have structured learning and play with their pals!
THE DIGITAL LIBRARY IS NEARLY COMPLETE! 🥰
One of TukTuk's goals was to create a Khmer teaching material sharing/search site for Cambodian kindergarten teachers in an environment where it is difficult to access various teaching materials. That goal has finally taken shape as the "Digital Library," open and available soon!
We have been working hard to create teaching materials, including five Tukbooks. We're also focusing on introducing those resources primarily for teachers in Pursat through SNS and workshops.
With the creation of a digital library, teachers from all over the state will soon have access to a digital library that contains TukTuk teaching materials! In time, we would like teachers to upload their lesson plans on this site. From here, it is still unfinished, but you can take a peek at my work. We can't wait until we show off the completed version to everyone😊
KHMER OF THE MONTH
Khmer Word: Kampoung Rngcham In Cambodia, November 18th to 20th was a holiday for the water festival. During this festival, boat races will be held in each state and it's an exciting event that you don't want to miss out on.
Last year, all the events were canceled to prevent infection. Before the festival, we were feeling like 'Kampoung Rngcham', which means 'I can't wait for it'!

OUR 3RD BABY FOR 2021 JOINS THE TUKFAMILY 👶
With Leakhena in March and Adrian & Mayu in May, this year was a baby boom for TukTuk. But when October rolled around, the staff finally got their long-awaited third cute face. Davi, is the first child for Choven, our Tukbook illustrator 😍
So far all the babies have only met each other online but we are hopeful that will change in 2022. Other staff members are really looking forward to seeing some in-house babies in the office soon.
TUKSTAFF SPOTLIGHT | SARIN
This month's TukTuk staff spotlight is shining on Sarin.
Favorite things: Going to kindergartens and meeting children What I do for TukTuk: Preparing worksheets for the provincial/ district education office and the target schools so that children can study during the school closing A word for everyone: Thanks to all the generous donors who have been supporting TukTuk, and kindergartens for children in Cambodia. I hope you're healthy and happy forever!
Sarin is a quiet but passionate worker, but his silent work always inspires all staff. He's also strong in mechanics, so even within the staff there is a saying like "If you have a problem, call bro Sarin!"
In private, he is a father with two sons and on holidays goes to farm his rice fields 🛵
