British celebrity chef and author Jamie Oliver, whose new series JAMIE OLIVER: TOGETHER debuts tonight at 9 p.m. ET on CTV Life Channel, says the chaos of the past year and a half only increased the sense of responsibility he feels as a public person. In an interview with TV critic Bill Harris for The Lede, Oliver describes his new show as a hopeful "bookend" to the most chaotic phases of COVID. And Oliver also drops some “clammy” details about the Canadian-specific special that he has cooked up.
Ding! Ding! Ding! Round 2 of HEELS is a go! Well, technically it's Season 2, but STARZ has confirmed that the critically acclaimed wrestling drama - which stars two Canadians, Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig, as rival brothers Jack and Ace Spade - has been renewed, with production scheduled to begin in 2022. Season 1 wrapped up just last month, and all eight episodes are available for streaming on STARZ.
HBO Max’s STATION ELEVEN – not to be confused with STATION 19, which takes a break tonight, but returns with a new episode Nov. 11 on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app – is a new series that hits very close to home. Adapted from Emily St. John Mandel’s best-selling novel of the same name, it’s a post-apocalyptic saga that follows pandemic survivors as they attempt to rebuild and reimagine the world while holding onto the best of what has been lost. Viewers can catch a first glimpse with an eerie teaser, before STATION ELEVEN lands on Crave on Dec. 16.
