As a long time supporter and investor, you know how important the work Living Classroom does every day is helping our students understand how they can make a difference. That the life and earth science, STEAM, community (citizen) science and healthy eating concepts they learn in our lessons are building their skills and understanding of the natural world. Our children are being  prepared to be the next generation environmental stewards and champions.

Our work matters. It matters now and it will make a difference to our - and our children’s - future. As a supporter and investor, I hope you are proud of Living Classroom’s work and our plans for the future to reach more children. 

Living Classroom has extended our program to a five-year contract with the Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Department for year-round programming and created two new programs to be implemented in 2021–2022.

Last year, LIving Classroom: 

• Taught more than 660 lessons remotely

• Reached more than 3,000 students via distance learning

• Donated more than 1,110 pounds of produce to local food banks when students did not have access to our gardens

• Installed three new native gardens in our local schools.  All this during a pandemic year when students were not on campus.

No surprise that as our program has grown and thrived — even during a very challenging year —  so have our expenses. I am asking you, as a loyal investor in Living Classroom’s success, to continue to invest in Living Classroom’s future. Your support this year of a gift/investment of $150, $300, $600, or more would allow Living Classroom to: 

• Purchase materials for one new lesson kit ($150)

• Provide seedlings for one year for one classroom ($300)

• Purchase needed tablets for our 4th and 5th grade community (aka citizen) science lessons ($600)
