Dear <<First Name>>,
Lloyd EcoDistrict is a leading example of what a sustainable, equitable, and resilient neighborhood can look like. While our work continues to grow and evolve with the needs of our community, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past two years and excited to share some of these successes in our Bi-Annual Report.
The past two years have been unlike any other. The challenges of COVID-19 and the growing movement for racial justice have made an indelible mark on our work and our priorities. And as extreme weather becomes more common, our focus on climate protection, equity, and resilience becomes even more vital.
We hope you will read about work over the past two fiscal years, and join us on this mission by shaping our work and community for the next decade as we develop a new vision and roadmap.
With Gratitude,
Elaine Aye
2020 + 2021 Lloyd EcoDistrict Board Chair

We’re Developing a Vision and Roadmap for the Future: Help Shape It!

We know that the coming years will be transformative for our neighborhood and our organization. As we continue to deepen and diversify our work in the community and support this transformation, we are pursuing formal EcoDistrict certification. This certification will enable us to better organize our initiatives and serve as a blueprint for Lloyd that is more sustainable, people-centered, and economically vibrant.
Becoming and maintaining formal EcoDistrict certification entails four steps, including creating an implementation roadmap to guide our work for the next decade. This roadmap, while keeping climate, equity, and resilience front and center, will lay out goals and actions across seven priority categories: Connectivity, Health + Wellbeing, Living Infrastructure, Peace, Place, Prosperity, and Resource Regeneration.
As part of this process, we are convening meetings and events with key stakeholders throughout the neighborhood, including community organizations, businesses, and public agencies. In addition to these meetings, we have crafted this survey to reach as many people as possible who have connections to Lloyd, through living, working, recreating, or other activities.
Everyone who completes the survey will have the chance to enter to win a number of $20+ gift certificates and prizes to different Lloyd businesses including Creo Chocolates, Cultural Blends, Great Wine Buys, Greenbridge Coffee, Lloyd Farmers Market, Upright Brewery, and more!
