Hi all,

I hope you’ve had a great week. Last Sunday was our biggest Sunday so far – God is rebuilding His church! I’ve been really encouraged by our Sunday gatherings since we started in person meetings. We’ve seen new people come along, lots of people getting involved and joining teams, lots of children and young people attending and fantastic worship and preaching. I hope you’ve been encouraged too!

See below for some important dates and information about what’s happening over the next few weeks.
Our next Thanksgiving services for babies (previously called Dedications) are on Sunday 16th January and our next baptism services are on Sunday 23rd January. For more information about either of these events please email us.
‘Bake Off’ final may have come and gone but this Sunday we are encouraging people to bake some cakes and bring them to share over tea and coffee at the end of the 9.30am and 11.30am meetings. Please bring them to the kitchen before the meeting and, if you can, label them – no nuts in any cakes please!

We would also like to get to know people New to King’s after the meeting. You may have started coming over the last few months or year but either way, we would love to invite you to come along! This will be a great opportunity to meet other new people and some of our staff team over tea and cakes.

Christmas Services

One of the things we love to do at King’s is celebrate Christmas in a big way, and you’re invited to join us for our carol services. It’s the easiest invite of the year, so spread the word and invite others to join us too.

This year we have three carol services at Catford at 9.30am11.30am and 5pm on Sunday 12th December. Our carol services will include songs, carols, readings, performance pieces and a short talk.

Please book tickets for you and any guests to help us manage numbers. The ticket will only hold your seat until the service starts so plan to come early. Here are some invite resources you can share with friends and family.

We’re also running a Family Christmas Service on Sunday 19th December at our usual times of 9.30am and 11.30am. This service lasts just over an hour and is great fun for the whole family, followed by drinks and treats. No tickets are required for this service but please feel free to invite friends and family
King’s is committed to building a diverse church community and we are currently conducting a listening exercise with the church to ask for people’s feedback on their experiences. The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete. If you haven’t done so already, you can complete it here.

This Sunday

This Sunday we have Andrew Wilson preaching and concluding our fantastic series ‘Rebuild and Rejoice’. If you have missed any sermons from the series or would like to listen to/watch them again, you can do so here. We also have our usual kids’ work provision in 9.30 and 11.30 and for youth we are running Engage in the 11.30 (for school years 5-9).

Look forward to seeing you this Sunday!

Blessings
Hilary and the Catford site team
