Staff, volunteers and trustees at Central Surrey Voluntary Action are honoured to have receive an award of appreciation for our work during the pandemic by the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey.
Sally Dubery, Chief officer and Margaret Hick, vice chair of CSVA accepted the award on behalf of staff and volunteers at CSVA. Ms Dubery thanked Caroline Breckell and Lord Lieutenant of Surrey for this special recognition of the hard work and dedication of the volunteers and staff at CSVA. She also added a special thanks for all the volunteers who signed up to support their communities during lockdowns.
Cllr Chris Hunt (Chairman of Mole Valley District Council) and Serena Powis representing Epsom and Ewell Borough Council, were also present at the ceremony. Representatives from Elmbridge Borough Council and Surrey County Council were unable to be present but sent their good wishes.
Ms Dubery noted a special thanks to the boroughs and districts who have supported the vital work to ensure that the communities are supported during the pandemic. "The collaborative working with our partners in the voluntary sector and the local authorities has demonstrated how much can be achieved by working in partnership.
We look forward to working with our local communities and all our statutory partners over the coming months to ensure a safe and secure winter.”
