A SPECIAL MESSAGE

Dear <<First Name>>,

Last Friday night I had the great pleasure of attending the opening night performance of Highway of Lost Hearts at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre. This new production of Mary Anne Butler’s play stars Kate Smith as Mot, with live music by Smith & Jones, a musical duo from Central West NSW.

The play was so funny, heart warming and spoke to it’s audience so well. The production will be touring to us this weekend with a performance on Friday night at 7pm and on Saturday afternoon at 2pm. The storytelling is just excellent! Here are some of the things audience members have been saying about the show:

Beyond brilliant, Kate is a powerhouse of talent, and Smith & Jones are equally wonderful. I laughed, I cried and left with an open heart. A must see!

Great show. Loved it. An enquiry into the Australian psyche which left it found flawed and full of an ambivalent humanity.

Superb show. Superb everything!

I urge you to attend Highway of Lost Hearts this weekend - you will have a fabulous time in the theatre as Kate’s character takes you on a road trip like no other, meeting characters along the way you will have all met in your own travels.

This Wednesday we also have the final screenings of The Last Duel and The Gardener plus sessions of The Power of the Dog starring Benedict Cumberbatch on Saturday and Sunday.

The team at Cowra Civic Centre look forward to welcoming you back through our doors to live a little, to get out and enjoy life.

HIGHWAY OF LOST HEARTS
by Mary Anne Butler

Mot wakes up one morning to find that her heart is missing from her chest. She can breathe; she has a pulse—but she feels… nothing. So, she decides to go and look for it.

And so begins an incredible road trip and a fun night in the theatre you will really enjoy. This is the story of a woman. A dog. A campervan. And 4,500 kms of wide-open road.

When your heart goes missing, what lengths will you go to, in order to find it again?
