Today I had the privilege of preaching on 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. In this passage, we see three imperatives (essential, urgent commands) with three absolute qualifiers:
- Be joyful (always)
- Be prayerful (without ceasing)
- Be thankful (in all circumstances)
As you enter in this season of Thanksgiving and Christmas, let's remember to meditate on God, the gospel, and anything good (Phil. 4:8).
