Hearth Warming Canadian Winter Holiday Traditions Get yourself in a festive mood by learning about different holiday traditions from across Canada. Six speakers, representing six different Canadian provinces, will talk about some of the foods that make their holiday tables special. Hosted by CHC member and author, John Ota, this event will fall over 2 subsequent Sundays, December 5 and December 12, with three presentations per day.

Baking for the Victorian Christmas Table -- Plum Pudding & Mincemeat Tarts!
A reprise of our beautiful presentation featuring star baker and historic cook Sherry Murphy, demonstrating recipes from Eliza Acton’s Modern Cookery for Private Families is now being offered for sale in video format.

A beautiful video presentation filmed at the historic kitchen at Montgomery’s Inn in Etobicoke, Ontario, featuring CHC board member and historic cook Sherry Murphy. The video includes a link to an extensive downloadable recipe booklet containing ten historical and traditional recipes (original text and modern interpretations) for Christmas Pudding, Mincemeat Tarts, Raspberry Sauce, Plum Cake, Gingerbread, Queen Cakes and Mackeroons.
