The new Sustainable Ocean Economy: Mapping of Nordic Strongholds report financed by Nordic Innovation shows that strengthened Nordic innovation cooperation within the sustainable ocean economy can give the Nordic countries a competitive advantage and help solve environmental challenges.

The report identifies sustainable aquaculture, maritime transport and advanced offshore solutions as strongholds with the most solid innovation and business potential. These strongholds provide the Nordics a competitive edge to operate as a leader in developing a more sustainable ocean economy.

The New Offshore Wind Ports in the Nordics project aims to make Nordic ports ready for the expanding offshore wind industry with a stronger green infrastructure and new value chains across developers, manufactures and sub-contractors for offshore wind.

Mapping the Nordic Circular Economy Data Sharing Landscape

This report aims to map out the current landscape of data sharing for the circular economy in the Nordics. The report identifies barriers and enablers to an accelerated transition towards use of data sharing for circularity, the role Nordic and international policy can play in this, and presents recommendations for the implementation of pilot projects.

The Norwegian and Dutch Royal Families Attend Signing of Circular Partnership Agreement

Nordic Circular Hotspot and Holland Circular Hotspot signed a formal partnership agreement as a part of the Dutch royal couple’s state visit to Trondheim 11 November 2021. The new collaboration aims to accelerate the market transition for circular solutions and businesses in and between The Netherlands and the Nordics.

Women Founders Got Even Less of Investments

The 2021 Startup Funding Report by Unconventional Ventures shows that women founders are lagging far behind their male counterparts when it comes to funding.

Investments in women-founded teams only represent 0,7% of all investments in 2020, down from 1% in 2019.
