What's on at APH November 2021, 35th edition       !!! Best viewed in your browser 
Dear APH researcher, 


On Tuesday November 9, about 140 APH researchers joined APH’s networking afternoon, with the theme 'sustainability'. This light version of APH’s Annual Meeting was held in Theater de Rode Hoed in Amsterdam. Astronaut André Kuipers provided an inspiring keynote presentation about his view from space on sustainability.

APH Director Martine de Bruijne opened the meeting and shared APH’s ambitions on this theme for the coming years. She presented some examples of current research and initiatives of APH researchers on the topic of sustainability. We were delighted that astronaut André Kuipers provided an inspiring keynote presentation about the challenges we are facing in developing and maintaining a healthy and sustainable living environment. 

We closed the meeting with drinks and delicious appetizers. During this gathering already new collaborations and initiatives arose concerning the important sustainability research theme.

APH ONBOARDING MEETINGS

The Amsterdam Public Health research institute organizes onboarding meetings for new APH researchers every three months. The main goal of the onboarding meeting is getting to know the research institute and fellow APH researchers better.

We will inform you about APH and its assets and explain how you can contribute and benefit from your affiliation to APH. It is an entertaining and diverse afternoon and a great opportunity to meet fellow APH researchers.

You can register for one of our onboarding meetings via this registration form.

APH PRESENTS:

In collaboration with Nature Research Academies, APH presents a series of webinars that aim to help you improve your chances of publication success as well as maximize the impact of your research after publication.


These webinars will provide practical insights and strategies to help you achieve this goal. Containing numerous interactive elements and activities, these webinars will guide you through different publication steps from organizing your manuscript to successful submission strategies and navigating editorial decisions and peer review. 
Early- and midcareer researchers affiliated to one or two of the APH research programs are invited to join these webinars. We aim to include 15 researchers from every research program. In order to have a first estimation of the amount of interested people, we ask you to pre-register.
