AR3T and NC NM4R

Neuromodulation for Brain and Spinal Cord Functional Restoration in Neurological Disorders Workshop Recording The Neuromodulation for Brain and Spinal Cord Functional Restoration in Neurological Disorders Workshop, hosted by AR3T & NC NM4R, was held virtually and free of charge on Friday, November 5, 2021. This workshop introduced methods for targeted neuromodulation as an adjunct to regenerative rehabilitation approaches. Dr. Jon Wolpaw addressed the importance of merging regenerative rehabilitation and neuromodulation when he discussed operant conditioning of evoked responses as a potential way to train new neural circuits generated regenerative medicine techniques.

NC NM4R

Fall Speaker Series

This series will explore diverse neuromodulation methods with a focus on rehabilitation. Researchers and clinicians of all career stages (including students and fellows), who are interested in neuromodulation and novel rehabilitation techniques, are invited. At each meeting, a speaker will present a topic, study, or grant proposal relating to the improvement of rehabilitation techniques through the use of neuromodulation. The attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas and opinions, and develop informal discussions. This monthly meeting aims to present innovative ideas and cutting-edge methods for clinicians and researchers.

Join us Wednesday, December 1st at 12 PM EST, for our first speaker, Dr. Bashar Badran who will be presenting "Developing Novel Thereapeutics - Focused ultrasound and auricular neuromodulation as Alternatives to Implantable Braiin Stimulation." Register for Dr. Badran's talk today.

Webinar Recording - OpenSense: Analyzing Motion with Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) Data: OpenSense is a new workflow within the OpenSim musculoskeletal simulation software that provides tools to use IMU data to analyze motion. In our latest webinar, Carmichael Ong from Stanford University presented an overview of OpenSense and the results of a validation study examining traditional marker-based inverse kinematics versus IMU-based inverse kinematics. Dr. Ong also presented a short hands-on tutorial to teach participants how to use OpenSense with an example using gait data. Watch the recording | Watch the tutorial
