Booksellers: The Humanities Ebook Platform is a Resource for You

The BSA is excited to debut a new benefit for members in 2022: access to the ACLS Humanities Ebook Collection at the discounted rate of $25/year. This curated-resource features over 5,700 scholarly books from over 125 publishers. These include C. Paul Christianson’s A Directory of London Stationers and Book Artisans, 1300-1500 and all 29 volumes of Sabin’s Bibliotheca Americana. As part of its ongoing work, the Publications Committee is adding more titles relevant to bibliographical scholarship.

This new benefit demonstrates BSA’s commitment to welcoming bibliographers across the professional spectrum,  especially booksellers without access to institutionally supported research tools. We know that you rely on scholarly resources in acquiring, describing, and selling textual objects. And we are pleased to be able to advocate for you in building up the resource so that it includes texts that are relevant to your needs.

BSA Bibliography Week 2022: Sponsorship Opportunities for Members of the Book Trade

Sponsoring the BSA Annual Meeting has always been a potent way for vendors and allied organizations to reach their audiences while also supporting bibliography. That remains true this year!

After the record-breaking attendance of last January’s virtual meeting, which drew more than 300 people, our next Annual Meeting will blend both virtual and in-person events to engage the largest possible audience. The BSA is also coming off the heels of a membership drive that boosted membership by 10% in just 2 weeks. In short, sponsorship will put you before one of the country’s fastest growing and most diverse crowds of the bibliographically inclined: librarians and curators, many of them with acquisition responsibilities; private collectors, including members of bibliophilic organizations with strong BSA ties; academics, including those who collaborate with their librarians; booksellers like yourself, who work with them all; and of course students, the future of our entire ecosystem.

With sponsorships starting at just $175, there are options available for every budget. Executive Director Erin McGuirl is happy to share more information. Please reach out to her directly by email, or read more on our website.
