Skills for Zero Carbon Identified 
A new report, Skills for Zero Carbon: The Demand for Renewable Energy, Residential Retrofit and Electric Vehicle Deployment Skills to 2030, by the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs identifies the nature and quantifies the scale of the skills needs of enterprises supporting the transition to a zero carbon economy in the coming years. Full report here.

Commis Chef Apprenticeship Starting
Both Kilkenny Carlow ETB and Tipperary ETB are offering the Commis Chef apprenticeship in the South East region. With new culinary training facilities and expert staff apprentices attend college for two days per week and are with their employer for the remainder of the week. See details here

Explore Programme delivering digital skills for manufacturing
The ‘EXPLORE’ programme is now available for manufacturing companies to help staff who are over 35 years of age, who would like to improve their digital skills as well as build new skills in teamwork and communications. More details here.

ICT Sector in the South East Profiled
The ICT sector includes a range of dedicated ICT companies employing an estimated 6,200 staff. Furthermore, most medium to large employers (>50 employees) have dedicated ICT staff managing the company’s ICT requirements internally. The SERSF has compiled the following sectoral profile. More here
