It's Angel Tree Time!

National Youth Gathering Fundraiser
November 21, 28

The youth at Mt. Carmel are raising money to pay for their trip to the National Youth Gathering in Minneapolis next summer. They've prepared several cookie mix jars for immediate purchase, and they're ready to take orders for more when these sell out!

Here's what you need to know to participate:
What: Cookie Mix in a jar - Oatmeal Chocolate Chip & Cranberry White Chocolate Oatmeal
Cost: $10 per jar
When: After church in November

All the dry ingredients are included in the jar. You add the butter, egg, and vanilla then follow the instructions on the back of the jar. Buy more than one, either for yourself or to give as gifts.

SLO County Facial Covering Mandate

ADVENT 2021
The Bright Star of Bethlehem devotions for Advent are a gift from the sponsors of our recent photo exhibition. The daily devotions are written by members of The Bright Stars of Bethlehem Board and worshipfully focus on the life and experiences of the Christians of Bethlehem living in a land occupied by Israeli armed forces. The devotions point out how the "little town of Bethlehem" is persevering in the 21st Century. Copies are available in the narthex. Please help yourself.

Sunday, December 19
Thank you for your prayers and your kind words of support on the loss of my mother, Lucy. She was part of our Zoom online community during the entire pandemic and greatly enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to worship with all of you. She especially enjoyed the wonderful music. Click here for a link to her obituary

Peace be with you,

Matching Gifts Challenge Benefitting the SLO County Food Bank

The new donation site is up and running. Please click the link below for more information.

Link to Mt. Carmel matching funds page

If you prefer to donate to the matching funds challenge by check, make your check out to the SLO County Food Bank. Write Mt. Carmel Matching Funds Drive on the memo line so that your donation will be properly credited.  Mail to:

Food Bank Coalition of SLO County
1180 Kendall Road
San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Please do not route your food bank donations through Mount Carmel.  Doing so will delay your donation and make tracking the matching funds challenge donations difficult for the food bank.

Thank you to Mount Carmel for your always generous spirit!

We'd love to hear from you. Please call or email with your questions or comments.
