Deaths of people on probation
The Ministry of Justice has published its annual data on deaths of people on probation, for 2020/21. Tragically, 1,344 people on probation died in 2020/21, 34% more than the 999 people the previous year. The announcement follows recent statistics on a sharp rise in self-harm among prisoners.

Clinks is hosting a webinar on the 14th December exploring the latest evidence on how peer mentoring can help people to leave crime behind, connect them with services and employment opportunities, and facilitate consciousness raising and collective system-reform efforts.
