CHRIST THE KING - NATIONAL YOUTH SUNDAY
Christ the King Sunday is also known as "National Youth Sunday."
To celebrate and pray for our young people, therefore, the 6.30 pm Mass on Sunday 21st of November at St Augustine’s will be led by some of our younger parishioners. It is hoped that they will read and serve as well as contribute to the music during Mass! All are very welcome!

St Barnabas Cluster of Parishes - Synod
Pope Francis has asked the church throughout the world to spend time listening and speaking graciously to one another in order to discern the way that the Holy Spirit is leading us now and toward the future. We had a very positive gathering during the week of people from each of our parishes who might help to coordinate things locally. Each of our parishes is very different, so the listening will take different forms and go at different speeds in each of our parishes. Over the next few weeks there will be details of how to become practically involved. Please continue too to keep the Church and this process in your prayer.

November Mass for those who have died this year
Next Friday 26th November at 7pm, we will hold a special Mass at St Augustine’s Church in Heelands, when we will pray particularly, by name, for those who have died in our parishes over the last year. Please keep the date free and perhaps invite people who have lost someone this year to come along.

Operation Elf is Pact’s annual campaign supporting prisoners to give a Christmas gift to their child. With your help, we can make the festive period a littler brighter for families across England and Wales.

Every year more than 200,000 children experience the distress and heartache of having a parent in prison. Christmas can be a particularly painful time, but with your help we can make a big difference.

This year, by purchasing an extra gift card during your Christmas shop, we can make sure a prisoner can give a gift to their child to buy something they really want. Click above for more details.

THEOLOGY OF THE BODY

The session runs from 7-8.30pm and is open to all who work with young people in the Church, including youth ministers, catechists, and volunteers. If you would like to attend this session, please email info@nymo.org so the Zoom codes can be sent to you.
