Bridging efforts in water research, governance, and action since 2018

Now seeking interns, research advisors, and community partners!!

The Pittsburgh Water Collaboratory, with support from Pitt's Honors College, is once again sponsoring internships for undergraduate students to work on projects related to regional water sustainability with a community partner. We are currently seeking interns, academic advisors, and partner organizations. This internship is a great opportunity for students to “get their feet wet” with independent research while helping local water organizations answer important questions. Internship includes a $5,000 stipend. If you or your organization has a project idea, data hanging around, or analyses that you think would make a good project, please consider partnering with the Pitt Water Collaboratory Internship program. Water in a Changing World Meetings

Join us for our weekly Water in a Changing World meetings! This
forum features topical presentations, project updates and discussions for learning about water in a rapidly changing world. Each week, we highlight current water related projects in industry, academia, and government. All are welcome!
Weekly water meetings will be hybrid for the near future. Off-campus participation is welcomed and encouraged!

2022 Pitt Day of Giving

This year, the Collaboratory is participating in Pitt Day of Giving! Save the date for February 22. Funds raised will support students tackling Pittsburgh regional water challenges using community-engaged approaches. Please consider supporting the Water Collaboratory and other sustainability groups at Pitt. No donation is too big or too small.

New Project Alert: Nurdle Loading from the Beaver Shell Cracker Plant

Are you or your organization currently sampling around the Beaver Shell Cracker Plant? Drs. Michael Blackhurst and David Sanchez, faculty affiliates within The Water Collaboratory, are gathering organizations to coordinate sampling activities, identify gaps, and network across organizations.
