Amplifying ELA Classrooms is a project that will take place during the Spring 2022 semester at Broadmoor High School. We are looking for volunteers who can make a minimum three-hour weekly commitment to provide support for students in Broadmoor's English Language Arts classrooms throughout the semester.
This initiative specifically focuses on supporting the English Language Learners who make up 21% of the Broadmoor community. Volunteers will be matched with a Broadmoor teacher and work with them in their classroom throughout the semester on a weekly basis. Humanities Amped will support the educator-volunteer matches through training, coaching, and a reflective learning community focused on helping you to create a beloved learning community where young people can thrive in each classroom.
You do not need special training to join this initiative, but you do need commitment, a heart for youth, and at least three hours a week that you can volunteer at a consistent time.
