Quarry Wood Saturday League
Many thanks to the McLuckie family for all their hard work last Saturday, and thanks too to Paul and Lesley Coutts for organising. Yet again, the SI team of Paul, Ian and Rosie sprang into action once more. All the results and Routegaget are up on the website here.
Events Coordinator - message from Andrew
Nikki has decided to step down from the Committee as our Events Coordinator. On behalf of the Club, the Committee would like to say a big, big thank you for all her hard work, commitment and enthusiasm in the role over a number of years. She has worked tirelessly and managed to do an incredible job whilst juggling all of her commitments and studies. We will be sad to see her leave the Committee, but will hopefully see her participating in other ways with the Club.
If you would like to be the Club's next Events Coordinator, then please contact anyone on the Committee.
The Northern Night Cup continues
The Northern Night Cup (NNC) comes to Culbin for its second event, next Wednesday 1st December. SI Entries are open.
There are 2 courses, both TD5, the Long is around 4.5k, the Medium 3.5k. You can enter either course, if you opt for Long there is a cut off possible toward the end which then becomes the Medium course. So if you are getting tired or running out of time this is an option and will still be competitive. Full details are on the website: Northern Night Cup Event 2 - Culbin | Moravian Orienteers

Proposed Event Calendar 2022
Many thanks to all of our members who have volunteered to help plan and organise next year's exciting programme of events. However, we still have some gaps to fill.
Please, please, please consider whether you would be able to volunteer as an organiser or a planner. Please do not worry if you have never volunteered in these roles before. Help and support will be available and we can arrange for you to attend an event safety workshop (lasting a few hours), a prerequisite if you have not completed one before. Without your support, we will be unable to put on our programme. Please contact a member of the Committee if you are able to help. Many, many thanks.

Young people - Our Future
You may be aware from various posts and discussions that the Scottish Orienteering Equality group is keen to build up a picture of how we keep young people engaged in our fabulous sport. In addition to the recent 'community conversation' on this topic, we are running a survey which is anonymous.
Younger people in particular are encouraged to voice their views. Coaches supporting Juniors may want to have a say too as well as parents.
We are keen to find out more views on what encourages and what puts young people off orienteering and to gather thoughts and ideas about what may need to change.
The link to the survey is here
Feedback and initial thoughts from the community conversation earlier this month are here
