As followers of Jesus Christ, we know and understand that giving is a response to God’s generosity; an expression of joy and gratitude for the bounty of God’s goodness.
There's no better time to show gratitude for all you've been blessed with than on #GivingTuesday!
Since it's inception over seven years ago, #GivngTuesday has grown into a massive global movement. Millions of people all over the world unite in their desire to do good and make a difference.
At RUMC, we live out Jesus’ exhortation in so many ways:
- Our hospitality team has made over 35,000 meals for hungry folks since the pandemic began.
- We have welcomed homeless families into our spaces through our work with Family Promise.
- Even when hospitals denied visitors, our care teams called, sent cards, and delivered meals throughout COVID to those who were sick, homebound, or in assisted living.
Combine this with the ongoing work of missionaries in war-torn areas, English tutors for school-aged children, toilers whose love and labor tend our Giving Garden, and so many more servants; you can see how RUMC works to welcome and love our neighbors locally and globally. Your support is what helps make all these ministries possible, so if you haven’t yet, please consider making a pledge of support for 2022 online to ensure that we can keep responding to Jesus’ call.
