Southern IFCA . . . the case for an increase in the bass MLS

You will have read the recent letter from our Chairman and also, by now, the details in BASS Magazine 139 (in addition to my previous Newsletter about this same topic). Well, this e-mail is following in much the same vein inasmuch as it is a vehicle to encourage you to, if you haven't already, please lend your support to this campaign.

For the moment the most important thing is to ensure the Councillors know that there are many anglers who support the proposed changes. The councillors are the people who are voted for by the likes of you and me and therefore they WILL be influenced by letters/emails from 'voters'.  But time is short and every e-mail of support is critical . . .

I've added a couple of links to sample letters at the bottom of the page . . . . it would be great if you could do something similar (but equally . . . better not to plagiarise) but please don't feel that it is essential to provide such a missive. Far more important is to simply write . . . to add you voice to that of others. If all you put is that you support the proposals as presented by Nigel Horsman to the TAC on the 17th November 2011 and would like S. IFCA to move them forward then that would be fantastic. Please don't shrug your shoulders and hope leave it to others to write . . . drop a line yourself . . . now! Remember the meeting is this Thursday . . . like I said time is short.

I apologise if the original Newsletter, the letter, the BASS Mag and now a second Newsletter seem to be overkill regarding this subject . . . but we all believe that success here could lead to further movement elsewhere . . . so no stone is being left unturned in an effort to ensure that as many people write/email as possible.

Thanks, in advance, for your support.

If anyone wants to go further, please do. A good move would be to, perhaps, email your local IFCA. Point out that the S. IFCA are looking at the issue of the MLS for bass and asking them to do the same.

For those who were intending to lend physical support then please note that the venue for  the S. IFCA meeting on the 15th December has changed. It is no longer in Poole but at:

COLLITON CLUB
COLLITON HOUSE
DORCHESTER

at 14.30PM
