The theme for this year's Canadian Section of The Wildlife Society's (CSTWS) webinar series is: Integrating traditional ecological knowledge into environmental research.
In our first webinar in this series, Dr. Sonja Leverkus will present on Putting fire out on the land by mobilizing science with traditional and local ecological knowledge.
The webinar will take place from 12:00-1:00 pm eastern time on Thursday, December 2.

Dr. Sonja Leverkus is the founder and Ecosystem Scientist of Shifting Mosaics Consulting and is the Sr. Fire Lead of Northern Fire WoRx based in Fort Nelson, BC. She has served as the Vice-President, President, and Past President of the Canadian Section of the Wildlife Society. She earned her PhD from Oklahoma State in Natural Resource Ecology and Management with a specialization in pyric herbivory and cultural landscapes.
