Previewing Thanksgiving, Advent AND a very special parish event!
If you're viewing this on your phone, this link might work better.
Our parish celebrates its primary ritual of Thanksgiving as we celebrate Mass at
6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

As families gather there is also the realization that some will not, or cannot, gather. Fr. Austin Fleming offers this Prayer at an Empty Chair.
< Little Blue Books to guide daily prayer throughout Advent and Christmas are available in the entranceways.
< Join an Advent Pilgrimage of Stories featuring daily installments.
WELCOMING REFUGEES: A parish conversation continues as to the feasibility of co-sponsoring a refugee family.  If you’re interested in being part of that discussion and discernment, join the group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, in the Gathering Space. You can learn more about what's happening in Wausau regarding refugee resettlement at the parish web site.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES of the Diocese of La Crosse, as mentioned in the conversation linked at left, is playing a significant role in assisting Afghan refugees at Fort McCoy. If you might be interested in volunteering or want to learn more, go to their web site.

AFGHANS AT FORT MCCOY: Here's a link to a recent news story about refugees at Fort McCoy near Sparta awaiting resettlement.

THANKS FOR THE GENEROUS RESPONSE TO OUR WINTER COAT COLLECTION!
Fr. Tom offered after-Mass presentations last weekend on the funeral rites of the Catholic Church. Why and what we observe, who benefits from such observance, what is “allowed” and what isn’t, what to consider in preparing a funeral & more — all in under 10 minutes.
Please return this week your Connect-Grow-Serve pledge forms of Time, Talent & Treasure. At left is a link to a fellow parishioner's keynote remarks as we initiated our 2021 Connect-Grow-Serve experience.

In this recent Quick Things Conversation, Bob Buckley of the local St. Vincent de Paul Society describes the organizations significant ministry to those most in need, as well as how others are needed to join that ministry. You can send Bob an email to get more information.
Teens, adults and young people in grades 4 and older are needed to assist with some basic tasks as we celebrate Mass: light the candles, carrying the cross in beginning and concluding Mass, extinguishing the candles and taking the chalice and plates to the sacristy after Mass.  To learn more and to volunteer, send an email to Fr. Tom.
Of course we also continue to seek readers, welcome ministers, cantors, and livestream ministers.
