Join our online Book Study group, which meets every other week on Fridays at 8pm.
We are beginning to read a new book, "The Religion of the Apostles" by Fr Stephen De Young.
This is one of the best sellers among Orthodox books at the moment. The book "presents the Orthodox Christian Church of today as a continuation of the religious life of the apostles, which in turn was a continuation of the life of the people of God since the beginning of creation."
We meet via Google Meet; therefore, reply to this email to get the meeting link.

The Holiday season is upon us (or so the decorations at various department stores have been telling us since August). This season is also known as that time of year when you put on those extra pounds so that you would have something to lose heading into the summer.
For this reason, and for this reason along (I think) our St Anna's Altar Society is having a Christmas Cookie Sale.
To order your cookies, put down your name and the amount on the signup sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex (church vestibule), or contact Vickie Duin at 973-684-5844 or vduin@verizon.net
Cookies will be available for pickup on December 12, 2021
$12/container
each container is approximately 1.5lb
Members and friends of St Anna's will be making some of their family and traditional favorites. Anyone wishing to donate their time to make cookies is also asked to contact Vickie. |

There is nothing so pleasing to God, as for a person to be thankful.

When you are asked about what your church believes, how do you answer? What is your level of understanding of the Orthodox Christian Faith? If salvation is not only a gift we cannot earn, but something we must live out as Christ taught, what is one valuable resource we can use to learn what our Faith teaches and why? How can we learn to better share the “εὐαγγέλιον,” the “good news” of Christ and the Orthodox Christian Church?
