Hi <<First Name>>-
Laura MullenHappy holidays! We’ve made it through another year. I’m grateful to get to work with all of you for the past eight months, and I’m excited to see what 2022 holds for The Water Council and our members. As always, if you know of someone who should be added to our membership email list or would benefit from membership, please have them contact me.
-Laura Mullen, member engagement manager

Infrastructure Update
As you know, Congress passed an infrastructure bill in November with profound impacts for the water sector. We are offering a free webinar to members to help them learn how they can benefit from the legislation featuring Josh Greene, vice president of government and industry affairs for A. O. Smith Corporation, and Tim Hannegan, co-founder of HLP&R Advocacy. It will take place Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. ET/9 a.m. CT. Click here to register.

Growing ESG Impact
If you read our newsletters regularly, you know water stewardship has become increasingly important to our mission. That will continue in 2022 as we help companies understand how water fits into their ESG – environmental, social and governance – reporting needs. We're even working with Forbes on a special section about water stewardship scheduled for spring 2022. In the meantime, check out this blog from Dylan Waldhuetter, our director of water stewardship solutions, to learn more about the topic.

What’s BREWin’?
In 2021, we worked with the first cohort of our re-engineered BREW 2.0. The BREW – Business, Research & Entrepreneurship in Water – 2.0 Post-Accelerator is for late-stage water tech companies to help them grow connections and increase capacity. We’ve been introducing you to two BREW companies each month, and we’re pleased to present our final two:

Sensors and cloud-based software for real-time monitoring and insights for water distribution networks

Water treatment solution for phosphorus runoff

Now it’s time to find our 2022 cohort. We are accepting applications through Jan. 15. Ideal applicants are market-ready or in market with early sales and primed for growth — past the traditional accelerator stage. We provide several weeks of virtual training, culminating in a pitch day that’s broadcast around the world. Check out our new list of frequently asked questions to learn more about the process and decide if the BREW is right for you. Apply here!
