Dear Neighbour,
I have been knocking on doors and I am enjoying speaking with many of you. Some of the key issues that have come up include road safety in our community, Highway 413 & its environmental impact, the housing crisis, and questions about COVID-19 vaccines for children. Our conversations help inform my work at Queen’s Park and I am able to bring your priorities to the Legislature. Please find below my key legislative updates on issues important to our community, including some action items.
Today, we received news that Health Canada has approved the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for use with children aged 5-11 years old. Details on booking appointments will be forthcoming and I will keep our community updated once those details are available.
Since this issue came up quite often while door knocking, I will be hosting an information session on COVID-19 vaccines for children with Dr. Vinita Dubey from Toronto Public Health on Monday, November 22 at 6pm. If you have questions, or would like to learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine, please remember to RSVP on my website.
As always, stay safe, wear a mask when needed, get vaccinated, and be kind.
Warmly,
|
