LAST CHANCE
DOUBLE YOUR DONATION
The “woods” in our neighborhoods are just an illusion. As human development on land parcels in our neighborhoods continues, our native flora, trees and wildlife are being evicted every day.
Cleared land parcels like these have become a daily site in our neighborhoods. The pine trees on the yet-untouched parcel behind this one stand as proof of the biodiversity that was removed to make way for another new home.

Together we can slow the rate of natural environment erasure where we live today, or where others will live in the future.

You can still help

This is your last chance to get your donation doubled. Time is running out.

Our wildlife of all types need undeveloped land for food, shelter and places to raise their families.  Wild turkey, Armadillo, Bobcats and others would not live with us directly on the parcel our homes sit on.  They need greenspace in between our homes for all of these purposes, as well as to use as wildlife corridors to move about safely from place to place.
This Bobcat with her Kit and Kingfisher need your help to insure their survival.

While development is a necessary part of human existence, that doesn’t mean ALL of our natural environment has to be removed.

If we pollute the air, water and soil that keep us alive and well, and destroy the biodiversity that allows natural systems to function, no amount of money will save us.

This slash pine will never help the environment and wildlife.
Conservation of stands of Slash Pine, which make up the largest portion of our area tree canopy, are crucial to the well-being and life cycle of an abundance of birds such as the Barred Owl, Great Horned Owl, Osprey, Pileated Woodpecker, Black Vulture, Red-Headed Woodpecker, Red Shouldered Hawk, Whistling Ducks, Swallow-Tail Kite and a variety of resident and migratory song birds.
